I am happy to share a well-deserved thank you to our members that participated in last weeks Manatee County Commission public hearing. The Commissioners heard our plea and voted to maintain their Impact Fees at 90% in lieu of increasing them to 100% on April 18, 2018.
Why is this important? The potential effect to the Manatee County Impact Fees would have been an average increase of over $900 per each new single-family residence permitted after April 18, 2018. Thanks to our Commissioners, they helped to protect the middle class and home affordability by not increasing impact fees.
I am also happy to share that we are holding our very first NAHB (PWB) Professional Women in Building Council Meet & Greet social this Wednesday afternoon. You may be wondering what the PWB all about? PWB is a council dedicated to promoting, enhancing and supporting home building and women in the industry. The PWB provides for professional and career development in the industry, supports community involvement, supports active involvement in legislative and political issues, and recognizes industry achievement.
Share this with women you know in this industry and make the time to attend this exciting and informative social.
Sincerely,
